Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is regarded as one of the top tight ends of all time, he is the league's top player in receiving yards as well as receptions by a tight end, along with ranking third in overall receptions
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at FOX's Studio. Gonzalez was a guest as a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL SUNSET), which is broadcast every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez signed a new contract with The Falcons to run for two seasons and $14 million on the 15th of March 2013. The signing was in spite of having stated that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire after the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of receiving yards in his final season.
